3.1. Scope of the processing of personal data

We collect and process personal data of our users only to the extend required for providing a functional website as well as our contents and services. Personal data of our users is processed regularly only after the user’s consent. An exception applies in such cases where a prior consent cannot be obtained for actual reasons and the processing of the data is allowed by legal regulations.

As we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 div 1 lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data.

Every time our website is visited, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the calling computer. The following data is collected:

6.1. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc.(1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA), Google Analytics uses so-called cookies. The information generated by the cookie regarding your usage of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in USA and is saved there. The Google tracking codes on this homepage uses the function “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the USA, in order to exclude any personal reference.

6.2. YouTube

Or website uses the provider YouTube LLC (901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA) represented by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for the integration of videos.

Normally your IP address is already sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer when you call up a page with embedded videos. However, we have integrated our YouTube videos with the extended data privacy mode (YouTube still always contacts the Double Click service by Google, but no personal data are evaluated here). In this way, YouTube does no longer store information about the visitors unless they watch the video. If you click on the video, your IP address is transmitted to YouTube and YouTube knows that you watched the video. If you are logged-in with YouTube this information is also assigned to your user account.

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled in its judgement of 5 June 2018 that the operator of a Facebook page is jointly with Facebook responsible for the processing of personal data.

Facebook has assumed primary responsibility (complies with all applicable obligations under the GDPR) for the data processing. This means in particular:

  • That Facebook keeps detailed information on the data processing available at www.facebook.com (Art. 13 GDPR). To provide you with an overview of the essential information we also refer in the context of this privacy policy to the content provided and the Facebook links indicated there.
  • - We only receive anonymous statistics from Facebook about the use of our fan page. We can only see how many users have performed which interactions, but not which user has performed a particular action. The statistics of the Insights do not allow us to draw conclusion about a specific person.

Irrespective of Facebooks’s primary responsibility, you can also assert your rights under the GDPS directly against us. We will then immediately forward your request to Facebook via a form available for this purpose.

We have a legitimate interest in being able to track user behaviour on our Facebook fan page, accordingly, the legal basis for processing the data is Art 6 div 1 lit f GDPR. In this way, it is possible for us to record the range and effectiveness of our activities such as campaigns and posts and other activities through processes statistics. This enables us to continuously optimise our website and our online presence according to demand.

We use the common SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) while visiting the website in connection with the highest encryption supported by your browser. Generally, the encryption is 256 bit. If your browser does not support a 256 bit encryption, we will resort to the 128 bit v3 technology instead. You will identify whether a single page of our website is encrypted from the closed illustration of the key or the lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser or in the address bar.
