District Administrator Ramers visits Holtec: focus on securing skilled workers and innovation

According to a report by Wochenspiegel, District Administrator Markus Ramers visited Holtec GmbH & Co. KG in Blumenthal together with representatives of the local economic development agency and the municipality of Hellenthal. During the visit, the guests gained insight into the development of the family-owned company, which has been developing innovative plants for the wood industry for more than 50 years and operates worldwide.

Holtec is regarded as a so-called “hidden champion” and is among the leading providers of customised solutions for wood processing, including log yard systems, systems for the wood-based materials industry and package cross-cut saws. With around 150 employees and more than 20 apprentices, the company combines international business activities with strong regional roots.

The company visit focused in particular on topics such as securing skilled workers, vocational training and the importance of the forestry and wood industry for the region. District Administrator Ramers emphasised that Holtec is an outstanding example of how a medium-sized, family-owned company can successfully combine technological innovation, sustainable corporate management and international competitiveness.
