Rubner Holzindustrie in Rohrbach an der Lafnitz in Austria is a leading specialist in solid construction timber. Last year, the company invested in a new sawmill infeed system to increase output and meet future demands. A total of three Holtec Logrunners, a tandem step feeder and an enhanced version of the proven turntable technology form the core of the system technology. Feeding the sawing line from both sides allows for a compact design with high performance. To ensure that production was not interrupted during installation, the complete installation was carried out in parallel with the ongoing production of the existing infeed.
The first log could already be processed at the end of 2023. The successful upgrade of the sawmill infeed is the result of the perfect teamwork on both sides.
