HOLTEC at the opening of Rettenmeier Baltic Timber – a milestone in the Baltics

In September 2025, a new chapter in Rettenmeier’s history was written in Inčukalns, Latvia: with the ceremonial BALTIC OPENING, one of the company’s most modern production sites officially commenced operations. Employees, their families, and members of the board – including Managing Director Dr Stephan Lang – came together to celebrate this remarkable milestone.

The new facility ranks among the largest and most efficient wood processing sites in the region. It features a state-of-the-art LINCK saw line with integrated sorting system, a planing mill, a pellet plant, and a biomass power station that makes efficient use of by-products and waste heat. At the heart of the raw wood logistics is the log yard realised by HOLTEC – yet another proof of efficient and sustainable technology.

With this new plant, Rettenmeier strengthens its presence in the Baltics, taps into regional raw material resources, and further expands its position in the European market. The BALTIC OPENING was not merely a technical commissioning, but a powerful symbol of community, progress, and focused on the future.
